Colorful Colorado

One of the earlier starts we have had on this trip (not including the ones where we hadn't slept yet), up at 8am for a coffee and a snack. Then we packed the Vespas and headed to yoga! Best way to travel!
Yoga sure felt good, it was the first actual time we had exercised in the past month. We were a little stiff at the start but our bodies eventually remembered the drill. After yummy breakfast sandos and showers, we headed to Cave of the Winds!
We did an awesome ropes course that had varying heights of 20-120ft. Better yet, we got in for free! It didn't look tough at all until we were all strapped in and looking down! We were a little cautious at the beginning at soon found our confidence and balance!
After the thrill, Rick decided it was beer:thirty. With that, we headed back down the mountain and ate at Phantom Brewery in Colorado Springs. Eager for something in our tummies, the traffic was a bit of a downer, not to mention Mr. One Potato-Two Potato crossing the street. The conversation in car was more then enough to entertain us though. We enjoyed a cold local brew along with a cup of smoked gouda/beer soup... It was different and resembled melted cheese but overall we enjoyed it.
Feeling satisfied we moved on to the 'Garden of the Gods' to check out some stunning rock formations. Rick was our professional photographer and snapped these beauties in between clusters of clouds. Notice the perfect sun lighting; we were hanging out for a good 10 mins waiting for the sun to return so it would look just right ;)
The next photo opportunity was the balancing rock. We showed off our incredible strength. It was very cool seeing this giant rock seemingly placed in such a way, like it could roll away at anytime.
That night we had planned a home cooked meal for Rick and Sharon, a small thank you for being such wonderful hosts. It turned out pretty good! They provided the wine of course, a bottle for every occasion.
For a night cap we visited the neighbors Debbie and Doug, their backyard/bar was called Club Eleven. They had an impressive outdoor area equipt with a fire pit, fairy lights and giant Jenga! Jensen played Jenga and drank wine while Jess took care of the fire pit from under her comfy duvet..
Stay tuned for our Sunday Funday!!
