We walked around an explored its overwhelming scenery. Snapped this little gem in the museum. They had a lot of art on exhibit. Vibrant and fun.
After Red Rock, we headed to downtown Denver to eat lunch at The Kitchen. It was one of our greatest splurges. Sooooo good! We have expensive taste and love fine dining ;) fresh and flavourable.
We walked around town in the sunny weather then headed back to Castle Rock to get ready for Rick's surprise birthday dinner!
It was a blast!!! We arrived a little late so the waiter quickly filled our wine glasses with red wine. Sharon asked if she could please have a white wine also. Jess asked if she was going to drink two glasses at once and she replied " Don't judge me just join me" haha! Great food, French inspired with heavy flavour. Jess bravely tried some escargot, her verdict was that the broth was divine but in hindsight she should not have chewed for so long as the flavour of the snail came through like fresh dirt with a gritty texture. Great wine consumed with great company!
After dinner at Le Central we headed to the Uppity Club, a bar located in Rick and Sharon's neighbor's basement. We played a few games of pool. Jensen somehow made most of the balls in, just in the opposites pockets she was aiming for. We are sure that basement has seen a thing or two in its days!
