From Nash Vegas to Graceland

We had such a good time at the Bluebird Cafe! It was a cozy place with a great vibe. The host was a top comedian and the talent was mind blowing. We sipped on wine, ate and had our night rocked by eleven different singer song writers. One of them known to be very successful. Jeff Cohen has written songs for Macy Gray, Big and Rich, Josh Grobon and The Band Parry. We hope the others do as well.
Having spent the last three nights pulling all nighters, we passed up Kid Rock's guitarist's house party and headed back to the hostel for some downtime and an early night. Jess was not on form.
Chris the Aussie was a good sport about beating Jess three times back to back. Matt attempted to play but had already conquered a fair amount of beer and was in a less focused mood. Finally around 2am we bid goodnight to our hostel buddies and hit the hay.
The next morning somewhat rested, despite being woken up early by "zipper girl" (A french girl who was constantly going in and out of her bag, containing a hundred zipped pockets, at silly hours for no good reason) we gathered our things to check out. At noon we were booked for a horse trek at Juro stables.
Turns out we were the only ones!! So the two of us and Casey the guide had an awesome trek! She took us through some hidden trails and cantering through fields. Jess rode Parim and Jensen was on Punk.
We fell In love with both our horses :( After some cuddle and head scratches we had to say more goodbyes.
The drive to Memphis was a quick one. We arrived early afternoon and had a little explore of the downtown area.
Again we indulged in a little BBQ as we were told it is the best in the south! It was a toss up with Alabama. Jess is seriously contemplating becoming a vegetarian after this trip!
An early night was on the cards so we sat at the river and watched the sun set. Jaw dropping, the sun was the reddest we've ever seen it. Just a few pics.
The sky changed colors so beautifully.
Home to bed. Morning coffee with Miss Patty, the host of our home stay. Found out our drive to Missouri is five hours instead of three and Graceland is $50 per person!!.... Goodbye Memphis :)
Miss Patty, super sweet lady!
